Las Cruces Visit

Our trip to El Paso was very enjoyable. Clemens was able to spend 3 1/2 days with us. We went to Las Cruces on Saturday and Sunday. It is a LOVELY town. We felt very at home there. Saturday we found a church meetinghouse and were invited to church the next day. After church on Sunday we spend the afternoon with Alexis and her family at her Grandma Katherine's house. We both enjoyed the 'Pueblo' architecture of Las Cruces. I particulary enjoyed the agriculture and pecan orchards- oh and the palm trees. They are sweet. On Monday we went out to Hueco Tanks outside of El Paso. It is a world famous bouldering area, and sacred indian site. It also happened to be full of mosquitos because of all the rain. It was sad to say goodbye, but we will see eachother again in a month!!! Thank goodness.

You know, we need to get a climbing guide for the area. We didn't actually do any climbing (clemens didn't want to hurt himself- he still has a month left of training). The area is very cool though. The ranger said that in the winter time you should call at least two weeks in advanced because of all the climbers that come, they only give out a certain number of permits every day, but you can reserve them by phone. I don't know when we will move down, either the end of October or the end of November (ugg.).
